Scheduling Your Visit

Schedule your Positive Psychology sessions right from our website, anytime. If this is your first visit, choose “Positive Psychology Initial Session” in the scheduling widget. If this is a follow-up visit, choose “Positive Psychology Follow-Up Session”.

There are options for both In-Person and Virtual Visits, so even if you are out of state (or country), our services are available to you. Be sure to select the appropriate visit type when scheduling. Click here to learn more about telehealth options.

Completing Paperwork

Prior to your appointment, your Positive Psychology intake paperwork will be sent to you via email or text. Due to the planning that goes into making each Positive Psychology visit completely customized to the patient, we require your initial intake forms to be completed at least 3 days prior to your first appointment.

Your First Visit

Your main reasons for consulting will be discussed from various angles in order to promote a deep understanding of your current situation. Dr. Jessica will use questions emerging from coaching psychology, CBC - Cognitive Behavior Coaching, and from validated PPAs - Positive Psychology Assessments to assist your deep dive. From there, you will help co-create your own mental well-being plan by selecting meaningful action steps you are committing to. This may include at-home PPAs, reflections, writing exercises, activities, practicing mindfulness techniques, etc. While Dr. Jessica will act as your guide, you are fully in charge of what gets included in your journey to psychological flourishing. Please allow up to 60 minutes for your initial Positive Psychology consultation.

Follow-Up Visits

Depending on your unique needs, follow-up sessions may take place weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or even quarterly. Typically, visits are closer together initially or when a new well-being goal emerges. During your sessions, Dr. Jessica will assist you in exploring different concepts and ideas linked to what you are experiencing. Widening the perspective lens results in the discovery of new actions and paths leading to the desired outcome. Your sessions will become increasingly more action-oriented using techniques such as PPIs - Positive Psychology Interventions, ACC - Acceptance and Commitment Coaching, Embodiment techniques, and Solution-Focused Coaching methods. Some interventions may be performed during your sessions while others may take place between your visits. As life is not constant, your plan will evolve with your progress. Expect each regular session to last between 40 and 50 minutes.
